Photos and Poems
My Photos and My Poems
I'm sitting there thinking, what better combination than photographs and poems? I mean really, aren't they meant for each other? Now I'm no Longfellow but I love to dabble so I thought why not put together some snippets of poetry and my new pictures and see what happens. I'm not the first nor am I the only one to pair these two, but these are my originals.
Photographs hold so much wonder as we contemplate the colors and the beauty of nature they contain. Looking at any photo can bring back memories or spark a thought about a flower or a time.
Among the Many Flowers
Among the many flowers flies the tiny bumble bee
With leaves to hide his progress he's hard for us to see
As he gathers up his honey to feed his family
Or the bear shaped honey jars that Momma feeds to me
Music to Listen to As You Read Poetry
Little Johnny Jump Up
Little Johnny Jump Up can be found around the town
He's never in one place as he seems to roam around
You'll find him in the garden or find him in the stone
Cause Little Johnny Jump up can travel on his own
Johnny Jump Up
The Robin Red Breast Looks for Food
The robin red breast looks for food and sometimes hears it come
She stands so still to hear the worms that beat the earth just like a tiny drum
The robin waits to see its head so she can grab it quick
To take it to her babies because that will do the trick
Robin Red Breast
Nature gives us love birds to teach us how to act
Cause if we don't do things right we surely will be sacked
Though not the worst thing ever, living all alone
Is not the state of mind most people want to own
Sharing and cuddling are surely comforts for all
So if you want to be loved, send love, always keep on the ball.
Running and Playing in the sun
Running and playing in the sun
For a little boy it's so much fun
Open fields, a place to play
A three year old can spend the day
Running in a Field
The dogwood has a legend that a cross was made of this
The dogwood knew from shame that something was amiss
Its blossoms stained with blood a crucifixion it would show
Forever tell the world of love, something it should know
A Sunset Every Day
There is a sunset every day
A time for us to think and pray
About the world and friends and things
And all the blessings that life brings
Sunset on a rainy day
It was fun going through my photos and trying to put my thoughts into poems. Not everyone is a poet as I'm sure you've learned after reading this, but our thoughts are always special and writing them in any way we hold dear makes them that much more special. Imagine your children or grandchildren reading your works years from now and wondering what made you think that.

Slipped disc, herniated disc, ruptured disc all mean pretty much the same thing PAIN. I know I had no idea how much pain until it happened to me.
Do we recognize the beauty of nature that is all around us? The wonders of a spider's web? What about the photographs we take of the natural wonders we see?
Miniature Pinschers a/k/a Min Pins are not for the weak at heart, training is a must but the rewards are great. Very affectionate and really good dogs when trained; faithful, affectionate and intelligent!
