Pictures of Snorkeling in Hanuama Bay
My wife and I are taking a vocation in Hawaii now, I bought the package from the Costco Travel for 5 nights in oahu and 7 nights in Kona.
I am a person who likes water a lot, so before going to Hawaii, I was quite exciting about the water stuff there, the one especially attracts me is the snorkeling.
One of my friend told me that The Hanuama Bay is the perfect place for snorkeling, so the second day I arrived at Oahu, I planned my trip there for snorkeling.
Since I live in the Hilton Waikiki, I bought the masks and snorkels from the ABC store there, and took the 22 bus directly to the Hanuama Bay. The whole bus trip will be about 45 minutes, and the bus will stop at the gate of the Hanuama Bay Park.
The enter fee to the beach will be 7.5 dollar per person, and every one need to watch a 9 minute educational video before we can reach the beach. At the beach we can rent the mask, snorkel and fins at the shop on the beach. Every item will cost approximate 5 dollars. And since I have brought my Iphone with me, I spend some bucks extra for a locker.
There are a lot of people in the center of the beach, since there is the most flat place, but also there are less fish in the water. The both side of the beach have a lot of the reefs there, so it will be a little hard to swim, but there actually are more fish.
My wife and I took about 2 hours in the beach and took a lot of the pictures. I brought a Nikkon AW100 waterproof camera and it is a great accompany for the water events.
Here are some pictures I took under the water, and hope you will like them.
