Scrapbook Furniture for Organizing and Storing your Supplies
My very first scrapbooking area consisted of two sofa tables purchased from Ikea for $20 each, and a bunch of stackable plastic bins. I threw everything into one bin or another, trying to maintain some semblance of organization but it usually failed miserably. Since then, I've been through a drafting table, Rubbermaid containers on wheels, adjustable bookshelves, several coffee tables, one living room floor and numerous totes trying to establish a system that works best. Currently, I am spaced out on my mother'd old L-shaped computer desk with attached hutch, and it's working pretty well for now. But a number of companies are now manufacturing desks and storage systems designed with the crafter mind. These functional, durable items are perfect for any crafter who has amassed an average collection of stuff.

KeepSake Creation Station
Made of sturdy, durable solid wood veneer, the KeepSake Creation Station is billed as "an entire scrapbook room behind four doors." It's armoire style construction allows you to keep messy scrapbooking workspaces from becoming an eyesore, and it's 48.5" wide design means you can sit at the center of the unit and have all your supplies within arms reach. The station comes with a large roll-out desk, oversize storage bin and 4 adjustable shelves. The doors that open on top are completely customizable, using caboodle walls to hold 5 acrylic boxes and 4 hooks. At $2,050 it's a good thing the Creation Station itself is fully customizable as well. The wood color comes in a variety of 8 different colors, knobs can be brushed nickel or polished brass, and you get your choice of either an open-top or standard cart to place alongside the station. If that's a little out of your price range, you can still purchase one of the three rolling carts designed to hold 12x12 paper and hanging file folders.
Official site of the Studio Station organizational systems
The modular systems available at ScrapNcube come in 12 pre-made styles ranging in price from $990-$1,773 but can be rearranged to accommodate any personal preference. The Studio Station Corner Original has 25 supply drawers, 28 shelves designed to fit 12x12 cardstock, and can fit conveniently into any corner. Large, oversized craft tables with laminate work surfaces can be added to any Studio Station (including a table you can mount on the wall!) and slim project drawers can be placed underneath to ensure quick clean up. If you already have a work station that you'd like to build upon, cubits, drawers and shelves can be purchased to help maximize your existing space.
The Original ScrapBox
The scrapbook armoires offered at The Original ScrapBox are an excellent choice for the crafter who has a million supplies but doesn't need a huge workspace. Only 36" wide when closed, the scrapbook armoires have two full-length doors that disguise the workstation as a piece of furniture, but when opened up reveal double the amount of storage space. Both doors are lined from top to bottom with storage bins: 83 removable canvas totes with label inserts and 20 removable clear zipper pouches. A small, collapsible work table sits just at the center and folds up for easy storage. At $1,495, the scrapbook armoire comes in 5 different styles, letting you choose from either a raised panel or beadboard door style, and a black or vanilla finish.
Store In Style desk units and organizers
With no product running over $600, Lana's Memories offers more affordable options for scrapbooking storage and organization. Their Store In Style Desk units can be bought as shown or you can buy the pieces separately and create your own. A series of drawers, shelves, cubes and paper holders form workspaces that are fully functional and designed for your specific needs. Stackable accessories by Making Memories and Provo Craft are also available to store beads, buttons and other small embellishments.
Organize It's line of modular scrapbook storage solutions
Coming in at least expensive is Organize It's easy to assemble, home storage solutions. Select the cubes, drawers and shelves you'd like to have, match them with a desk top and desk top hutch organizer and you're good to go! Each individual piece is designed to hold 12x12 papers and albums and other oversized products. A work station with table top, hutch and four cubes won't run you more than $300.
