Thanks KAPUSO MO JESSICA SOHO

This hub is probably one of my oldest hubs, but sadly this one never trends. This obviously needs updating, and since it's now a trend and common to everyone who has a Smart Phone, I guess this is the perfect time. Through Kapuso mo Jessica Soho (KMJS) I found out that these days, Self-Photography has a more popular name which is "Selfie" photo. Based on the example shown on TV I was wondering if I am guilty of such a thing LOL..

I don't how to rate myself as compared with others who are selfie photo addicts, but I can tell when and how often I "selfie pics" myself. When I feel good and beautiful, I selfie pics myself, when I wore a new blouse or tops, I selfie pics myself. To know how I look and I don't have my mirror with me, selfie pics is my alternative.

As far a posting my photos are concerned, I don't post all the selfie pics in my digicam or cellphone, I only choose the best and the my reason for posting is "to always update my friends how I look at present". It' s like telling them too that I am ok...

My Hub Self Photography

Like I said earlier, I wrote this hub almost 3 years ago. When I really appreciate my photos taken by myself more than photos taken by someone else. The photos above were taken using a Nokia X3-02 Cellphone, while the pictures below were taken using my other gadgets. Let me lead you to my hub and may this update awaken this hub from its deep slumber.

I just love Photography

I am not a professional photographer, neither I use a professional camera... I am just one of those individual who loves photography from the time I realized its existence in the universe. With digicams and cellphone cams sprouting like mushroom in the modern world, taking photos are always just a click a way. My models are most of the time my dogs and myself(hahaha) but seriously, I take photos to support my article or hubs. So my camera is as important as my house key, It should not be left behind.

Lately I've been to taking photos of myself... Not that a narcissist is brewing inside of me (but then what's wrong with admiring one's self LOL), but just expressing delight and wonder that even without someone to take your photos, just with your own hands and estimated focus, you can actually get a good photo of you...

Self Photography is comfortable

If you are the type who gets too conscious when posing for your solo photos as taken by somebody else, self photography is the answer. I love picture-taking and I don't mind posing with friends but if it's my solo picture, I get uncomfortable. Most of my solo photos that I posted here are self photographed, and I can say for me it is very effective because I can smile naturally without getting worried of anyone looking at me.

From Cellphone

Self Photography is good when no one is around to take your photos

I guess this is effective at times when you know you look your best and you want to have souvenir of your looks on that day, but no one is around to take a shot of you. You look good so you can smile all the great beautiful smiles that you can, you are alone anyway and you are your own camera man. You must have a record of a beautiful you at all cost, so better master this art.

Simple technique in Self Photography

I realized it's not always applicable to use a flash...Camera nowadays are equipped with automatic light exposure which does not change your natural color. I realized when I used flash it just making my face too white or unnatural... but then you need to focus firmly to maintain the light. The simple movement or jitter of hand that handles and clicks the camera can cause blurred result, in some cases tripod is a "must have"..

Raising your hand that handles the camera a little higher and farther than your head or face can make your face narrower than usual in pictures. If you want to look bigger lower your hand that handles the camera, at least lower than your face.

Find your best angle, it can be the left side or the right side of your face.

or simply just be artistic, anyway you can easily erase the photos that you find unpleasant or not good to look at.

Self photography is more on personal consumption or satisfaction... This is not for official documents or whatsoever.

And lastly when you smile, don't forget to smile like you are smiling at the one you love or the one that holds your heart...

I find it funny that most photo albums in social networking sites nowadays are products of VANITY! For goodness' sake, they only tilt their heads a few degrees away from the previous pose! They all look alike. :DD
