About Sydney and the Street Photography Collection
Sydney is a vibrant cosmopolitan city that has all the nice features a world center should have, allowing its citizens and visitors to enjoy a wide abacus of possibilities in every aspect of the city-life-style. Its unique effervescence brings together a vast array of cultural and artistic forms to create a good amount of excitement, without scarifying a harmonious environment with a pleasant urban design, which allows for some peace and quiet in between.
The photographs here shown reflect the clean, orderly beauty of Sydney's streets, dotted with art, design, music, fashion, excellent summer weather and beautiful blue skies.
Sydney's street photography couldn’t be complete without two of Australia’s monumental icons, the Sydney Harbor Bridge and the Sydney Opera House, which of course had to be included; nevertheless, while walking the streets of this cosmopolitan city, there are many other items that catch the eye.
I have particularly made an emphasis in Sydney’s architecture and urban quality, taking shots of the unique and beautiful buildings in Old Sydney, near the harbor –otherwise known as The Rocks-, the Down Town Area and the Italian Village.

Sydney´s Big Birds
Besides the world renowned Sydney Opera House and the rich art museums, which include the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney has its own theater and dance companies, its own film, comedy and music festivals, its own fashion week and many outdoor events during summer.
Apart from the cultural offer, the Australian metropolis also has tranquil green areas and parks embedded throughout the city that, in unison with Sydney Harbor, keep the presence of nature always visible. The area surrounding Sydney includes preserved national parks and a couple of beaches for surfers, water sport geeks and weekenders who like to spend time near the ocean.
During summer, sport events thrive in and around Sydney with international competitions such as the Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race(December), the Surfing Australian Open held at Manly Beach –known as the birth place of surfing-, and the Sydney Cricket Ground, among many others.
Sydney has ranked among the top 10 most livable cities in the world according to different authorities in the matter, who have evaluated the complete package of city-life-variables, and have come to the conclusion that these are performing at top level in this particular city.
