Teach Yourself CorelDraw ( How To draw Line, Spiral In Corel Draw )- Graphic Design Application For Window – Part 5

In the previous part you have made the sketch of a flower using some interesting features of Bezier tool and shape tool. In this part you will learn how to create different basic shapes like rectangle, square, ellipse, circle, polygons graph papers and spirals by exploring relevant tools available in the Corel Draw tool box.

Drawing rectangles by using rectangle tool

  • Launch the application with the New Graphic selection
  • From the rectangle flyout select the rectangle tool
  • Click on the first corner of the rectangle
  • Drag to the opposite corner, you will visualize the rectangle which will be formed. When you are satisfied, release the mouse button. The rectangle of your choice has been created.
  • If you want to create a square, keep the ctrl key pressed while dragging the mouse.

Drawing rectangles by using 3-point rectangle tool

  • From the rectangle flyout select the 3-point rectangle tool
  • Click on the starting point of the rectangle
  • Drag to the second point to form the base line of the rectangle
  • Release the mouse button
  • Move mouse pointer to any direction, you will visualize the rectangle which will be formed. When you are satisfied, click on the left button of the mouse. The rectangle of your choice has been created.
  • If you want to create a square, keep the ctrl key pressed during the operation.

Drawing ellipse by using ellipse tool

  • From the ellipse flyout select the ellipse tool
  • Click on the starting point of the ellipse
  • Drag the mouse to any direction; you will visualize the ellipse which will be formed. When you aresatisfied, release the mouse button. The ellipse of your choice has been created.
  • If you want to create a circle, keep the ctrl key pressed during the operation.

Drawing ellipse by using 3-point ellepse tool

  • From the ellipse flyout select the 3-point ellipse tool
  • Click on the starting point of the ellipse
  • Drag to the second point to form the base line of the ellipse
  • Release the mouse button
  • Move mouse pointer to any direction, you will visualize the ellipse which will be formed. When you are satisfied, click on the left button of the mouse. The ellipse of your choice has been created.

Drawing Polygon by using Polygon tool

  • From the polygon flyout select the polygon tool
  • Click on the polygon icon on the property bar
  • Select the number of sites you require for your polygon, on the property bar
  • Click on the first corner of the polygon
  • Drag to the opposite corner, you will visualize the polygon which will be formed. When you are satisfied, release the mouse button. The polygon of your choice has been created.

Drawing Star by using Star tool

  • From the polygon flyout select the polygon tool
  • Click on the star icon on the property bar
  • Select the number of sites you require for your star, on the property bar
  • Click on the first corner of the star
  • Drag to the opposite corner, you will visualize the star which will be formed. When you are satisfied, release the mouse button. The star of your choice has been created.

Drawing Graph Paper by using Graph Paper tool

  • From the polygon flyout select the Graph Paper tool
  • Select the number of rows and columns you require for your Graph Paper, on the property bar
  • Click on the first corner of the Graph Paper
  • Drag to the opposite corner, you will visualize the Graph Paper which will be formed. When you are satisfied, release the mouse button. The Graph Paper of your choice has been created.

Drawing Symmetrical Spiral by using Spiral tool

  • From the polygon flyout select the Spiral tool
  • Click on the Symmetrical Spiral icon on the property bar
  • Select the number of revolutions you require for your Spiral, on the property bar
  • Click on the first corner of the Spiral
  • Drag to the opposite corner, you will visualize the Spiral which will be formed. When you are satisfied, release the mouse button. The Spiral of your choice has been created.

Drawing Logarithmic Spiral by using Spiral tool

  • From the polygon flyout select the Spiral tool
  • Click on the Logarithmic Spiral icon on the property bar
  • Select the number of revolutions you require for your Spiral, on the property bar
  • Click on the first corner of the Spiral
  • Drag to the opposite corner, you will visualize the Spiral which will be formed. When you are satisfied, release the mouse button. The Spiral of your choice has been created.

Good avice! I love Corel Draw! Soem designers think its out dated but Its my favoriet Graphics Program. It is the best for createing Page layouts...not to mention it is simple to use.

Hello sir.. Can I ask something!!How do we cratee a new DataGrid automatically when new data is entered into the database!Illustration like this:We have 1 table in a database with the name A . in the A there are some data such as Brand, Color, Type.We want to make some DataGrid with an amount equal to the number of colors. 1 datagrid there are 3 columns (No, Brand, Type)We suppose initial color data is Red , Green , Blue .When we enter a new color, say Yellow new DataGrid will automatically be crateed by itself. with the same number of columns with datagrid previous color.Is that possible?Please tell me!!
