The 2012 No Pants Improv Subway Rebellion
Well, not exactly. The 2012 No Pants Subway Ride event is put on by the NY Improv Everywhere group every January. Nearly 4,000 people participated in New York with tens of thousands more participating in 59 cities in 27 countries around the world. Where exactly? Did anyone hear about this event? Does anyone care?
The purpose is simply to, do something, "off the cuff" and improv and for 11 years the subways of NYC have had this ritual. Dare to bare in public and when it is cold at that is certainly being frisky! But the truth is that, the no pants does not mean no underwear, which is actually what they dare to bare on the subway trains. Passengers were like those on the old TV show, "Candid Camera" or the modern day version of "Punked", they were dumbfounded but pleasantly so since the eye candy did provide for men and women alike.
Well, if you are going to do something this crazy, at least do it in the summer!
