The uneasy art of making art.

Who said making art is hard? Well... Pretty much nobody. Your art teacher certainly didn't, neither did your parents or close friends. The truth is, you either have it or you don't. If you have it, that's great! Go draw something instead of reading this hub. If you don't have it, it doesn't mean you CAN'T have it. If you really want to start making decent art, then follow these simple baby steps.

You should think of your artist's talent up to date as if your hand and mind can't workd together and refuse to work with eachother. All you have to do is train them and force them to become compatible. This may seem easy, and for some, it might. But truth be told, usually this isn't easy.

There are only two real steps to create decent art. Finding (thinking of) something to draw/paint/sculpt etc.. And practicing that same thing over and over again until it looks somewhat like the real thing.

For example, let's say you start by drawing a tree, master drawing that tree then move to something more complicated. Of course you will sometimes get artist's block (the equivalent of writer's block  for art) but don't quit. It happened to me once. Usually I draw pretty good faces with lifelike features but recvently it's as if i'm unable to draw eyes or noses or mouths properly anymore. It may take a while to overcome.

Don't forget to practice practice practice!!!
