HubPages checks for duplicate content on the internet. Since you are copy and pasting the information from a word document, it isn't uploaded online (even if you got that word file from an email attachment). If you had posted that article on a web forum or some other website, then HubPages would throw up the warning flag. (They're very prompt about telling you when you have a duplicate). It is actually a very good idea to write your articles in a text program first, because it makes for easier editing and you have a backup copy, if something happens to your hubpages account.
