Here's a poem for Moms to share with Mom's everywhere compliments of PoemVidz.com

    The Hearts Of Mothers

A Mothers Heart is so unique
Listen close and hear it speak
A Mothers Heart is full of love
A blessing from the lord above
    A Mothers Heart must endure
And offer up a constant cure
For every pain inside and out
This Heart no child will ever doubt
    A Mothers Heart unrelenting
    A devotion non repenting
A Mothers candle of love always burns
And finds reward when love returns

i write poems for my mom too she is 92 years old this week  here is mine or one of them i also wrote this for cancer for my friens memory

I know weve done it all before but we have to do so much more cause
every time that we give, will help another one to live. so reach in your pockets

and just give a dime, so we can leave all there hurting behind.  a gift can make a
cure not seam so far away, but its all up to us and what we do today .and if you have
a friend a relative or even maybe you then you will know just what we must do

one person can make a difference that can build a tree, but we cant do it alone
its up to you and me. so reach in your pockets and open up your heart in the game
of life we all must play a part.  so someday in the future because of us, thats near

the word cancer will be a word we will never hear

My mother is special no one can take her place, when i feel all alone
i close my eyes and see her face. when i feel the love she has for me i know ill be
all right, cause God chose his sweetest angel and sent her down to just be mine.
there is no other like her.  i know not anywhere. thats why i love her and  thats why
                                i wrote this prayer

    The hours of pain un-ending,
    A young mother’s first.
    The doctor shouts encouragement
    Red stains on his shirt.
    A shriek and a push,
A child has been given birth.
I have no memory of the moment,
    It was too long ago.
    A November morn’
    A son is born.
    Thank you for this life,
    I love you Mom.

I was at a workshop recently conducted by a wonderful poet and teacher from Columbia University here in Chicago.  I do not remember his name unfortunately, but what he said was a referance to Keats.  He spoke about "Negative Creativity".  It is the point your mind is in before you make a decision.   Imagine a bell tolling...before you decide whether the sound is appealing, or annoying, that is the place to be when writing.  A place of total objectivity.  Hang on to that feeling, and let your mind and fingers do the talking...once you are satisfied...edit...or not )
