Please can I request a new Category under Art & Design?

   I am a Felt Maker and would like to request that Felting be included in the categories under Arts & Design.  My Hubs do not currently fit into a specific topic which people might be searching for.
   
   Please could HubPages Staff give this some consideration.  There may be other subjects which others writers wish to have included as well!
   
   We currently have the following topics under Arts & Design:-
   Art and Design
   Crafts and Handiwork
   Textiles
   •    Crocheting
   •    Embroidery
   •    Knitting
   •    Textile Dyeing
   •    Textile Spinning
   •    Weaving

   There are so many sub-titles we could use in so many areas it would be impossible to add them all.  Perhaps HP could have a yearly contest and pick the top five or something like that.

      I find it frustrating not being able to put my Hubs into the correct category - Felting began over 5000 years old ago and has wide popular appeal worldwide.  A craft as old as this should deserves ti be associated with all of the wool crafts shown above.

   I agree sallybea!  I've just put my needle felting tutorials under the general category of "textiles", but it would be helpful if there was a sub-category for felting, right along with knitting and crochet.  Of course, then felting could be broken down into needle felting, wet felting, etc.

      We have a new category, felting etc., under Arts. 
      
      I believe that HubPages Staff are always willing to take a look at your request and grant it too - especially if they feel it may improve the site.
