This incredible machine was built as a collaborative effort between the Robert M. Trammell Music Conservatory and the Sharon Wick School of Engineering at the University of Iowa .. Amazingly, 97% of the machines components came from John Deere Industries and Irrigation Equipment of Bancroft , Iowa ....Yes, farm equipment! It took the team a combined 13,029 hours of set-up, alignment, calibration, and tuning before filming this video but as you can see it was WELL worth the effort. It is now on display in the Matthew Gerhard Alumni Hall at the University and is already slated to be donated to the Smithsonian.

Cool video!  I thought it looked an awful lot like CGI, so after checking into it found that it's not real.  That doesn't change that it's an awesome example of 3D modeling CGI.

Thanks for the correction Jeffrey.  Yeah even as computer-generated imagery it's still pretty cool.

The Christian love advertisement was just for your benefit Mark. lol

No seriously, that's where I seen it so that's what I posted.

No - I think that advertisement was for the "benefit," of guilt-ridden 15 year old girls having to make a difficulty decision and to salve the ego of a few judgmental middle aged men who are moronic enough to think an invisible super being told them to make sure any pregnant girls went through with the birth so they could then point the finger at the welfare freeloaders. wink
