I like trying out new programs for drawing/painting/editing pictures and would like to know which ones have been tested by Hubbers and which ones they would recommend and why?

I tried quite a few freebies and have settled on PaintNet for ease of use and versatility. I have bought PhotoShop and a version of Freehand9 (anyone remember that one?) but they require a longer learning curve and more effort to master...something that is on my "to-do" list!

Free for basic editing and quite good for quick touch ups or a new look...

I'm mastering Gimp and I'm having fun with it (The free computer art drawing and painting software that is and not some sick and sordid Gimp you understand!!)

      Thanks waynet,  lol,
I do have a Gimp 2 version downloaded, I find it takes some effort to learn, but has a lot of versatility, it has been recommended to me before...and i am still trying to make time to learn it!
