I know I'm shooting this question to anyone that may have any idea about how Elephant Beans are being made. I have one in my possession: This red bean is a seed(Kuru) from the Manjadi Tree in India. These beans are considered lucky beans. They are quite little. What intrigues me is that there is a lid, made out of ivory or bone. You take this tiny lid off, and inside the bean holds 12 tiny(I mean a size of a pin head)intricately, beautifully carved elephants out of ivory or bone. You need a magnifying glass in order to view them. I can't find any information on how these elephants are being carved.
