Australia - Aboriginal Dreaming - Ancient spirits in the 21st century
To an outsider, "The Dreamtime" is fundamental to the concept of traditional Australian Aboriginal religion. Aboriginal religion, in fact, is not a labeled belief system, but rather life itself. Life past, present and future creates "The Dreaming".

Australian art can be found in the most unexpected places. Undervalued art is art found outside the respected sophistication of an art gallery; it could be found in unexpected places in the city or the far reaching countryside. 10 commentsOddities: Greetings and Crime - The "rape" of Namaste?
Namaste is a beautiful greeting. "The God in me greets the God in you." "The Light within me greets the Light within you." But this spiritual connection is undergoing a radical commercial make-over.

1 commentAustralian Desert Art - 2 - "Dark shapes are real people" - Lake Ballard, Western Australia (with a dash of poetry)
In Western Australia, north of Kalgoorlie, near the 1890's goldfields "ghost" town of Menzies, stand 51 black steel figures; eerie silhouettes on the soft glow of desert dawns and blood red sunsets. UK artist, Antony Gormley, created the statues on Lake Ballard in 2003.
