dude, I so saw this man in concert in 1978 or '79 in Austin and nobody had to tell me he was an utter musical genius. he played a wide variety of stringed instruments and was equally extraordinary at all of them and watching him create lyrics on the spot for "bullfrog blues" and "will not be your fool" (he never does either the same way twice) was something I will remember forever.
