Aston Martin unveils Centenary editions
They're famous around the world - boosted by being lusted after in the James Bond films - and now Aston Martin is celebrating 100 years in the car business.
They could have brought out a special edition, but the lads in Gaydon, Warwickshire, where the cars are made have opted to knock out 100 celebration version from each of its line-up.
That means they will only make 100 cars for each of the V8 Vantage, DB9, Rapide and Vanquish model lines.
They will feature bespoke interiors and exteriors and some nice touches which include sterling silver badging and unique paint finish.
The finish itself is quite spectacular, as it is designed to go from a dark finish up to a light one - and the paint work highlights its bits.
Considering it normally takes the paint shop around 50 hours to finish an Aston Martin, the new editions have a special paint process which has added 18 hours to that work.
I imagine the cars really will turn heads when they hit our streets.
With around 70% of production going to 46 countries around the world, there will be some eager buyers lining up to get one.
Those who do will also be presented with a gift box which will have some enticing goodies in it such as glass keys and pouches, solid silver cufflinks and a silver pen.
Owners will also receive a special cloth to help keep the car's silver additions shiny, though I doubt it will get used.
Aston Martin isn't revealing the prices for the new Centenary Edition models but then if you need to ask the price you probably can't afford one.
