Carlashes and Carstaches - Dress Up Your Car

When an Antenna Ball Just Isn't Enough

When it comes to car accessories, most folks are happy with antenna balls, bumper stickers or perhaps a short-lived affair with car reindeer antlers during the Christmas holidays. But what if you're the kind of person who really, really loves your car and thinks of it almost as, well, a person? Perhaps you've given your car a name and refer to "it" as "he" or "she." Maybe you spend more money on your car than on your significant other. Does that sound like you? If so, Carlashes and Carstaches may be just the car accessory you never knew you needed.

Auto Fashion with Car Eyelashes and Car Mustaches

As the names suggest, Carlashes are eyelashes for your car. Yeah, your car. You want her to look her best, right? Well, these inexpensive auto accessories apply in just a few minutes with 3M double sided automotive trim tape, the same stuff they use to affix aftermarket wind guards and bug guards. So your car eyelashes will stick when you're on the freeway, in the car wash, or wherever your car goes. And it'll make her look mah-velous, darling. All the other cars in the neighborhood will be jealous.

Of course, if your anthropomorphic view of your car leans toward the masculine, you won't want to put a pair of car eyelashes on him. Instead, you might need to check out a Carstache. A Carstache is a big mustache for your car. No slim pencil mustaches here. No sir. These are bushy, manly mustaches. The makers of the Carstache say their auto mustaches were designed mainly for people who wanted to have "a sensational flare piece for events and special occasions like tailgates, birthdays, bachelor parties, Bar Mitzvah’s, Father’s Day" and so on. "We made the Carstache purely because we think it’s funny and it makes people smile."

Makes you kinda wonder - what's next in car fashion? Top hats and tails?

Oh dear! When I read the title I thought, "Nah, can't be." But sure enough, yes, you can buy eyelashes for your car. I guess if people can wear fake eyelashes, why can't a car? Interesting hub!

Very interesting hub. Surprised! Have to think about it before I go that route; would depend on the car--nah, don't think it's "me"--but I can sure see it for some people! Thnx!

Fun Hub. I love things that make me smile though I'm not enough of a free spirit to put them on my vehicle.

@Jeannieinabottle - I was also intrigued when I first saw the word Carlashes and, like you, thought "Nah, can't be." The name certainly catches your attention, doesn't it?
