F1 Race and Concert in Singapore, 2012

It is the time of the year for 2012 F1 Night Race in Singapore. It is the 5th year this Formula 1 Race is being held in Singapore. The only night circuit, they compete on a circuit that is well lit and well paved just for this cause. 21, 22 & 23 September 2012 - the dates you want to be here in Singapore to absorb the excitement. The F1 Singapore concerts are a draw too. With Kate Perry from the USA, Jay Chou from Taiwan, Maroon 5 from the USA, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds from UK, and many other artistes performing on stages located around the F1 Circuit.

Concert and Entertainment at F1 Singapore 2011

Concerts will entertain the F1 fans in Singapore. There will be Linkin Park from USA, Shakira, Rick Astley from UK, Shaggy from Jamaica, Charice from Philippines, just to name a few outstanding artistes who will entertain the F1 crowd on different nights and time, and at different locations around the circuit. If you are not keen to watch the race, the F1 Singapore concert each night will be value for money spent.

Singapore F1 Tickets for 2011 Race On Sale

F1 Singapore race 2011 tickets are on sale. 65,000 general tickets will be up for sale. A new ticket sales system will be introduced. The Group Booking Special offers can give you savings of up to 16 per cent for fans who purchase eight or more tickets in one booking. Race dates 23, 24 and 25 September 2011. Tickets can be as low as $38 for a walkabout to $1288 for grandstand.

F1 Race, Singapore Grand Prix 2010, Concert

Singapore Grand Prix 2010 will be on 24, 25 and 26 September. This is the 3rd year of this F1 Night Race in Singapore. If you travel the Singapore's Downtown, you will see structures being erected for the lighting for this night race... yes preparation is underway. Singapore hotel rooms are being taken up very quickly, especially those with good views of the Formula 1 race from the comfort of their hotel rooms. If you are on a budget, there is the walkabout tickets going between $200 to $400. Great for photographers who want to capture the race at ground level.

Look out for the nightly F1 Singapore 2010 concert at the Padang, Esplanade and locations around the circuit. Mariah Carey will be singing at the F1 concert at Singapore Padang on 26 Sep 2010, 10.30pm. It will definitely be a special treat for those at the race.

Winner of Singapore Night Race 2010

So many incidents happened at the 3rd Singapore Grand Prix Night Race.  Lewis Hamilton had to bow out at Lapse 36 after a incident between his car and Webber's.  This race was in incident packed one. Many corners to manuevre, and Fernando Alonso was crowned the winner, with Sebastian Vettel in 2nd and Mark Webber in 3rd position.

We are expecting 25 drivers representing 12 Teams like RBR-Renault, McLaren-Mercedes, Ferrari, Mercedes GP, Renault, Force India-Mercedes, Williams-Cosworth, BMW Sauber-Ferrari, STR-Ferrari, Lotus-Cosworth, HRT-Cosworth and Virgin-Cosworth. Some of the top drivers I am looking out for are Lewis Hamilton, Mark Webber, Sebastian Vettel, Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa, Robert Kubica, Nico Rosberg, Adrian Sutil and Michael Schumacher.

These hospitality suites at the Singapore Grand Prix presents opportunities for entertaining and connecting with business clients and partners. A 3-day pass ranges from $3,500 for a Green Room pass to as much as $8.000 for a Paddock Club pass. These suites are built on top of the pit, turns and grandstands which allow guests a great view of the thrilling night race. About 5 weeks before the F1 Night Race in Singapore on 24 Sep 2010, 90% of the hospitality suites are already taken up.

F1 Night Race 2009 Updates

The F1 Night Race - 2nd time to be held in Singapore will be on 27 September 2009. Lewis Hamilton has qualified to take the Pole at this year's race. Happening this year, Renault Team was handed 2 year suspension after they were found guilty of asking Piquet to crash his vehicle on the race day. With the economy just recovering, ticket sales was at 95%. Not too bad. A concert with top artistes like Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, etc... may have been the crowd puller. The News is in.... Lewis Hamilton came in 1st for the 2nd Night Race in Singapore. He led all the way from the start ahead of 2nd by about 9 seconds.

After finishing 5th in the Brazil Grand Prix on Sunday 2 November 2008, Lewis Hamilton was crowned Formula One champion. Lewis Hamilton, the McLaren driver became the youngest ever champion in Formula One history and the first Briton to take the title since Damon Hill in 1996.

1st Formula One Night Race - The Singapore GP

This is going to be piece of history of F1 in Singapore held on 28 September 2008. Singapore Grand Prix or Singapore GP is the alternative name of this F1 Night Race. It is the 1st Night Race in the WORLD!. Yes! The roads involved in this F1 Night Race has been going through some redesign and resurfacing to accommodate this race of the year. To the Singapore Government, this is a major tourist attraction of the year, one way to generate revenue for the city state. The have already spent well over $100 million for this event.

Tour packages for the race are out for grabs. Ranging from SIN$4,000 for 2 to as high as $11,000 for 2.... and I think there are higher priced packages. It comes with F1 race tickets, air fare and 3 night of hotel stay. You can get more information from various singapore hotels websites, I am sure you can get better deals at some hotels. Newspaper reported that some are looking into hotel accommodation in Johor Bahru which is just over the causeway. That is about an hour away from Singapore city area where the F1 Night Race will be staged.

F1 Night Race - Hotels and Motels

If you can plan for your own tickets and air fare.... which are quite standard items... but hotels in Singapore are charging almost 3 times the regular price for one night stay. The price can range from SIN$250 and above. Hotels are also offering certain attractive packages just for the races. Over the news, some F1 Race enthusiasts have resorted to Budget hotels like Hotel 81, Fragrance Hotel, or even backpackers hotels which charge about $30 to $40 a day. Those hotel rooms which are very near the race tracks will definitely cost extremely high.

F1 Night Race Singapore Schedule

The schedule for the race is as follows... 26 September will be Practice on the track. 27 September will have track practices and also the qualifying race. Then the grand finale on 28 September at 8.00pm Singapore time, the 1st F1 Night Race will be flagged off. It is going to be exciting!

Hotel Promotion of Formula 1 Night Race

This picture was captured at Royal Plaza on Scotts, one luxurious hotel along Scotts Road near Orchard Road. They had a F1 Race Car made of Chocolate, taking 51 days to prepare and assemble. It's made of 31Kg of White Chocolate, 45Kg of Milk Chocolate and 14Kg of Dark Chocolate. This is one of many ways hotels are creating the atmosphere for F1 Race in Singapore. There is a contest and there are prizes to be won too!

Just found out that for business, a few shows are in town. The Singapore MotorShow 2008 at SUNTEC City Convention Centre, and the Luxury Jet Show at Seletar Air Base..
