Is Drinking And Driving Worth The Risk

WHAT WILL YOU DO THIS NEW YEARS EVE

New Years Eve is only a day away and there will be parties all over the world celebrating the year 2013. When the evening is over, what will you do as far a getting home safe and sound?

You have only a few choices. One will be have that designated driver ready to drive you home,or hop in your automobile and try to drive yourself home and pray you make it safe, which brings me to saying, "is drinking and driving worth the risk of maybe losing everything including your own life?"

Many New Years Eve parties can turn out to be very wild, and then there are those that know how to control the party and not overdue the alcohol consumption.

There will be lots of entertainment at places people have reserved to eat and watch a nice show to celebrate 2013 in a safe and happy way. That is what should be done, but those that gather at a family or friends house tend to drink too much the closer 12 AM nears and when the ball drops and we are in the year 2103 the party continues to the wee hours of the morning. These are the parties that may cost you your life or an innocent person's life while trying to drive home after drinking alcohol all night long.

WHAT RISK DO YOU TAKE?

These are just some of the things I can think of by wanting to drink and drive home from that 2013 New Years Eve party.

  • Is it worth taking that chance of having an accident?
  • Is it worth being pulled over and getting a DUI for drinking and driving?
  • Is it worth getting a ticket, losing your license, and possible jail time?
  • Is it worth taking that chance of harming yourself or that special person or persons in that car with you when you leave that party too drunk to drive?
  • Is it worth all of the above for one night out to celebrate the New Years 2013?

By taking that risk of drinking and driving on New Years Eve, (or any night of the year for that matter) really worth your life or someone else's life? It may be the worst decision of your life, and could change your life forever. It is NOT worth the risk!

So, if you are going out this New Years Eve, eat, have a great time, but please drink responsibly. If you have had too much alcohol to drink, call for a ride and don't be embarrassed of asking. It could save your life and others just by that one important and life saving phone call.

Have a Happy, Healthy and Safe New Years 2013 and don't forget, DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!

NO ALCOHOL IS WORTH THIS!
