Has to be the Spyder for me. Still not sure whether I would ever spend that much on a car-I would be scared to use it in case it gt damaged and just imagine the cost of the insurance!

Lol, yeah I totally agree, although I think people who buy these cars will very rarely drive them. The Spyder Chris Evans bought had less than 6000 miles on it, and he said on his Radio 2 show that he only ever turned her over in his garage.

If you have the money, it's a good investment as they will never depreciate!

Imagine if you pranged one of these on the gate post - how much of an idiot would you feel?

WHoArtNow profile image

WHoArtNow 7 years ago from Leicester, UK Author

Oh year, you'd feel pretty stupid!

I remember hearing many years ago about Rowan Atkinson and his written of Mclaren F1, someone crashed into him in a classic Mini. Hardly damaged the Mini but wrote his brand new £600,000 supercar off, and Mclaren wouldn't make him another!

D'oh...

At least, though, he had someone else to be angry with - which you wouldn't, if you scraped it on the fence (-:

Very true! Well maybe the idiot who built the fence exactly where you reverse into it!

@D.G. - it is a fine looking car! A good choice, also helps it's the most expensive! I'm sure Ginger Evans wouldn't have any problems with the ladies in this!

That 1961 Ferrari just looks like it belongs in a classic James Bond flick, and should be equipped with the femme fatale in the passenger's seat already.

Chris Evans is a media fella who owns various media companies besides being a dj. He has lots more classic ferraris, all of which he then paints white. Never been quite sure what that does to the value...

joey 4 years ago

The 1937 Merc is absolutely stunning, n so is any Merc ever produced...Merc always makes the best car in the world, lets u travel at blinding speeds, yet it's like being in a luxurious aircraft cabin inside any big Merc...Ferrari, only speeds...Merc is an all round the best car money can buy in the world...

There is a new world record holder. A 1957 Ferrari Testa Rossa sold at Gooding in August 2011 in Monterey, California for a record $16,390,000. This is the most expensive car ever sold at public auction. Read more here: http://mycarquest.com/2011/08/a-new-record-price-f...

Kristian 4 years ago

The 250 Testarossa is the most expensive car ever sold. It was sold at the Maranello auction for the modest price of 12.000.000€. That's nearly 16.000.000$. And Chris Evans bought a 250. but it wasn't the California, it was actually a 250 GTO.

Art you can drive

Wolfrick 4 years ago

I have to say this list is wrong. The #1 most expensive car of all time is the lunar rover at $38million in 1960s dollars. This car had a range of 57 miles and a max speed of 5 mph. It had no doors, windows, windshield and the seats were lawn chairs (yes Boeing used lawn chairs). Though it did have 4 motors, however they were 1/4 hp motors, one for each wheel.

Who created this website

Jesse 4 years ago

I thought these all were great cars. but you cant just claim they are yours. you need proof, or you just need to by it.

Jesse 4 years ago

who made these cars. but like i said earlier you cant claim them. but yah it would be nice to drive those or at least see those and most of all have them. but i don't go out claiming things and stealing things. i go to church. the name of the church is Central Weslyan it is on G avenue and south 19 street. it is located in New Castle, Indiana.so i know all of the 10 commandments that god made. god did not make humans to go break the ten commandments. he would get mad and send you to the bad place which i think it is in the center of the earth in the core. so don't go stealing things, ok?
