I thought I had a problem with the CV joint of my 2001 Mitsubishi Magna (with only 90,000km on the odometer). But the mechanic said everything looked in pristine condition. The problem is when the car drives, there is a whistling type sound coming from the front left side of the car, which gets louder as the speed increases. But this whistling sound disappears when I gently apply the brakes. So I am still baffled by the problem. Have you encountered this before?
