   What is the most practical used car under 10k?
   
   If you had 10k to spend on a used vehicle, what would you buy and why? I hear Subaru's are nice.

   Subies are nice. I'd definitely look for a non-turbo one though, as the sportier models are beat up after the first one or two owners are done with them.
   
   If I had ten g's to spend on a used car, it would either be a Toyota 4runner Limited from the mid-to-late-90s, or Id spend $5k on a Honda Civic and save the rest.

   If that's the New Orleans episode....seriously fun stuff...although I was shocked the Cadillac was not able to be given away for free!!
   
   I'd say any used car with a good reputation - consumer reports are always a plus or buying grandma's old Grand Marquis is the plausible option.
   
   Hyundai and Kia used to be a joke but look at them today! If you hit the sale just right you could nab an Accent or similar sedan for under 10K ...and who cares if it breaks down every 3000 miles...I have a 10 year warranty!

   Right...Subaru used cars are very nice. I am just not so familiar with their prices. For $10K, I would buy either of the following:
   - 2009 Ford Focus
   - 2008 Ford Fusion
   - 2008 Ford Taurus
   - 2007 Honda Civic
   - 2009 Hyundai Sonata
   - 2008 Kia Sportage
   - 2008 Mazda6
   - 2007 Nissan Altima
   - 2008 Scion xB
   - 2007 Toyota Prius
