Thank you for your answer, we are in the process of restoring a Mustang and need more information since it seems to have been converted to a Cobra, it is a 96, but with 99 front bumper/lights.
You are so welcome lupine. I can assure you my answer is accurate. I have been a mustang freak since I was a teenager.
Thanks JThomp42. If you love mustangs, you may be interested to know we, my husband and I, are also restoring 2...'65 and '70. Do you currently have a mustang?

wn Lee Iaccoca had the Mustang redesigned for 1974 and named it the Mustang II it was the only year a V8 engine did not fit in it's engine compartment. During the 1974 model run he then had new frame rails and engine mounts designed to fit the 302.

the SVT Cobra was intoduced in 1992,,, the first year of the Mustang II there was no Cobra and that was 1974
The Mustang I'm referring to, is a 96 SVT, has a 99 front bumper and the headlights have a black background, round fog lights. Maybe you have more info. on this type/year...is it a Cobra or not? Thanks!
Yes it is lupine. The SVT meaning "Special services team."
Thanks JThomp42 for clearing this up...
SVT = Special Vechicles Team
