   Not my car, but my wife's car has been a major disappointment.  It is a Kia Sorento, and it has basically fallen apart over time.  Much of the paint is peeling off, the bulbs blow out constantly, the interior is literally falling apart, and now there are several problems under the hood.  The warranty Kia uses to sell most of their vehicles is a joke.  You have to spend as much to maintain the warranty as it would cost to purchase a second vehicle.  Kia knows there are defective parts on many of their cars, as they have issued improved parts and recommend replacement of the faulty parts.  However, they have issued no recalls for most of these faults, some of them being major engine components.  The parts for these vehicles are also very expensive.  I would not recommend a Kia to my worst enemy.  Please, if it is possible, buy an American made vehicle.

   I bought a 2009 Dodge Ram Pick-up and its the best truck I've ever had. Its a full 4 door so the kids and wife and dogs can go with me. It rides like a Cadillac compared to the F-250 Ford truck I had before it. Its a quiet ride too. The road noise is almost nil. It does get bad gas mileage about 12 mile per gallon but I live and work in the same town so I don't use a lot of fuel. It does however have feature when you are on the interstate basically cruising when the engine shifts from 8 cylinders to 4 cylinders. That saves gas mileage.  I'd put it about 10 on a scale of 1-10

   I have a Ford Escape with 4-wheel drive and I have a love/hate relationship. I think it's great for going places when it snows because it handles much better in the snow than my old pick-up. It's also great for traveling and when I shop for landscaping materials and plants because of the large cargo area. I hate the lower gas mileage now that gas prices are so high. If I could afford a second car, I'd have my Escape for winter and hauling stuff and a compact car for driving to work, regular shopping, and so on when the weather is nice.

      Very practical advice! I've got an ancient (1994) Corolla that doesn't haul anything but my dog and groceries and people, but it still gets 30mpg in the city and a bit better than that highway. Love it, but I need a new one now—worn out. Poor thing.

   I'm happy with my car. I admit it's old and poor performance wise but the memories I shared with it through the years are priceless. As long as it gets me to places I want to be safely and on time, I won't think about replacing my ride.

      I LOVE my current car, too, and will miss it and all the memories. It's so easy to drive and reliable and low-cost to own (and buy in the first place). But, it's been rear-ended a few times, hit by a snow plow and lots of hail, and about to die. :-(

   I LOVE my car! I will qualify it with the fact that I'm on an extremely tight budget, and bought it used with high miles already. We have a 1996 Subaru Legacy, a newer version of the same type of car my dad ran for 400K miles before it got run over by heavy machinery. I didn't expect it to be pretty or perfectly quiet or anything, and it's not. But it is TOTALLY reliable. It's also fairly easy to work on, which is a big plus since my husband and I do all the mechanical work and maintenance. Despite its age and 200K miles, it has yet to need any major work. It also drives beautifully on ice and snow, which is a huge plus in Wyoming -- a lot of people ended up stranded this year, but my car never once had difficulties plowing through snowdrifts or staying on course over ice. If I could change anything, it'd be adding a little more room -- my three kids fit in the back right now because they're all still in single digits, but they're getting crowded.
   
   The other car is a Plymouth Grand Caravan. Good, strong engine, super-comfortable interior with room for the kids and dogs plus cargo, and feels great when you drive it. The only problem is that the transmission died at 120K. Apparently, it's extremely common with these vans. Still no money to fix the dead transmission, so I'm not thinking too highly of this one...loved it until that happened.

   I have a 2011 Acura TSX and I love all of the luxury features that come standard with the car. The sound system is really nice and I love how easy it is to control everything. I'm not really a big fan of the tail lights though, but all of that is just aesthetics.
   
   For my next car, I think I'm looking to get the new Lexus RC coupe. I've never owned a two-door before and the new RC looks fierce.
