5 Attributes Employees Look For

There are many attributes employees look for when hiring new staff, but here are 5 which I think employers are commonly looking out for.

Honesty & Integrity

Personal integrity and honesty are some of the top attributes employees look for, particularly now in light of all the recent corporate scandals. People with these attributes also tend to create optimal business relationships.

Loyalty

Employees are looking for workers that are loyal and have the best interests of the company in mind. People that can be trusted to represent the company with pride.

Work Ethic

Being able to work hard and meet deadlines is definitely a great attribute. Having a natural work ethic without your boss having to be on your back day in and out is something employees search for.

Flexibility

In this day and age work doesn't necessarily run from 9am to 5pm, Monday through to Friday so employees are looking for flexible workers. They are on the lookout for people that are able to adapt to changes and quickly re focus.

Communication Skills

Communication skills are essential whether talking to clients, or colleague, or sending work related emails. Those with great communication skills find it easy to clearly and effectively get jobs done.
