Acts of Faith: By Iyanla Vanzant Book Review

Iyanla Vanzant is an award-winning author who has experienced much adversity in her life. She has used this adversity and turned it into something positive. Acts of Faith is a book that is actually designed for women of color who have experienced adversity in their lives. This book has inspired me but I personally do not think that it is just for women of color. I think anyone who has experienced adversity in their life can read this and be inspired.

The book teaches you that no matter what you go through in your life you can turn your life around. Focus on strengthening your spirit and gaining inner peace. This is the kind of book that you can read over and over again, you can refer back to various chapters and gain a little piece of inspiration each time you read it.  Acts of Faith provides support and guidance, in a world full or hardship and pressure. If you feel like you need help and guidance this book will uplift you and make you feel like you can face anything. The book also makes it clear that no condition is ever permanent, meaning that after a rough patch; the only way is really and truly up.

Acts of faith provides you with specific exercises to carry out on a daily basis to start seeing a positive change in your life. Also to guide you through tough times, to help you see things in a different light. To aid you in viewing the world through different eyes.

I am not going to lie, the information in this book will help you; however, you are going to have to work hard. You cannot just expect things to miraculously change, you have to make a conscious effort. The book does emphasise that change is not easy, what you put in you will get out. Therefore, if you put a lot of effort into changing your life, you will see a positive difference. If you believe that you can make a significant change over night without actually putting the work in to it, this book will show you different. It takes time, it takes work, but it can and will happen if you believe it.

I strongly recommend this book to anyone who needs a boost.
