@Claire:

Are you even Canadian? Mot Canadians are aware that French is also an official language, and so many people speak it with no knowledge of English their whole lives and get along just fine. Get off your English high horse. And re: the actual point of your comment, you'd best to quit it with the xenophobia, since our economy literally could not be sustained by natural population growth, and so immigrants, in a very real way, keep our country's economy so vibrant. In fact, the reason we have such a low unemployment rate is a DIRECT RESULT of our immigration and the immigrants that keep the economy growing and further jobs being created.

Exactly where did you get your info re: nursing being one of the highest paying professions in Canada? Waaay off. Your info on pharmacists, on the other hand, is on the mark.

I am so offended that this artcle states that trades people "do not require much academic skill". Let me tell you what skills are required to run a successful restaurant - finance, human resources and service skills, such as those demonstrated by our highly skilled and compassionate yet overpaid healthcare providers in this country. Trades require skill, passion and specific academic knowledge!

shahbaz khan - Companies in Canada do not generally provide accommodation and rides to work. It is your own responsibility to do that. And for everyone thinking about immigrating to Canada you NEED TO SPEAK ENGLISH. If you want ANY chance of being considered a real Canadian and integrating with out society you have to be able to converse with us. Trust me, every Canadian is going to instantly dislike you if you decide to move here, take our jobs, and don't even bother to learn our language.

Well guys in the first place I think You could get a good job anywhere in the world, if you are integrated into the society you live in. You should be grateful you got a constuction job in canada, means they are really considerate. Anywhere else in the world these days consider their nationals first, then people who are integrated into the society and I cannot say that for some of you here, who don't even speak English.

I think you should stay right in your countries or be qualified before you immigrate and stop bloody complaining becaue you'd be deported in Europe!

A good advise for Mr. ASif Ali. For a construction supervisor or any structural civil engineering job is not easy to find in Canada. I know one gentleman had BS in Civil from back home did his Masters in Mcgill University from Canada and now working as half labor job ( Construction supervisor ). Working out side in rain, snow, some time in high temperature and his face telling a story of his miserable life in a first world country like Canada. Here Construction ( Ontario province) dominated by old timer Italian people. They have good connection with City administartive people and get contract . You and me can even think about it. Please stay in back home where God provided many geneartion with good foods and respect and here all you can get shits that's all.

Chudia Chudia 6 years ago

There are not many good jobs. All are Bull shits. You need connection to have some good pay job. You need to make friendship with Arab Sheik to get high pay job in middle east. Need a solid connection with Anglo boss to land a good job in Canada and USA. If you are a good lookin woman then you have an upper hand in North America to get job my manupulating men which you are doing from day one.
