SALESMANSHIP

  • It refers to convincing the customer by sound arguments for the object of persuading him to buy particular goods.
  • As it is an art or technique so it is a complicated process and cannot be performed easily. The persons who want to conduct this process must be expert in respective field.
  • It is a primary function and so consumer’s mind is influenced before conduction of the selling.

SELLING

  • It refers to transferring the ownership of commodities to buyer in exchange for money.
  • As it is an act so it can easily be done by any person.
  • It is a secondary function and so it is performed after convincing of the consumer.

I love to see anything like this. I sold, managed and headed a trading company, at least 90% of those selling are doing just that.

I saw one flaw under salesmanship. A person does not have to be an expert on a product to sell properly. He/she must show why the buyer should buy their product, and show reasons.

That way both seller and buyer are satisfied, and have an idea what should happen.

Ya Harvey your suggestions may be very helpful for those are are new in this field, actually as we see selling... its not as much as as we think simply to go and sell... one this thought by my father when i was in 8th class that only those buy your products who actually finds that product is for themselves

I wasn't talking retail, but any sale must show the customer why their product is better for them, including price.
