When I searched for the trends on "Legalize Marijuana", I really wasn't sure what to expect. As a member of the cannabis culture, I felt it would have a consistent traffic flow throughout the year. To my surprise, it's pretty up and down throughout the year.

What I found most interesting, is that the time when people search for "legalize marijuana" the most, is right when they should get their tax returns. Once we know this, the next question is... are people dissatisfied with the amount they are receiving back on their tax returns? Or are they just hopeful that one of these years right about the time they get their tax returns, marijuana will be legalized?

It shouldn't be any surprise that "legalize marijuana" is a VERY popular search term in November. There are consistent peaks in November every year since before 2004, according to google trends.

It makes sense because the only thing standing in the way of legalizing marijuana, is the government. And from what most have figured out, there is a lack of any good reason for this. So people continue to gather together in the aim to legalize marijuana.

As we can see from google trends there are consistent up-peaks in April and November of every year. There are also consistent down-peaks in January in august.

So why am I telling you this?
