Get Indexed By Google Much Faster

Google is responsible for between 50% and 90% of a blog's traffic so being indexed by Google is very important to keep your blog (or website) popular.

Google however is very smart, it indexes first the websites who have the highest page rank, and then the sites with lower page rank. If your blog is new you are likely to have a page rank of zero. That is bad... and there is little you can do in the beginning to change it.

On the other hand, there are also some good legit techniques to make Google come to index your pages almost instantly, or as soon as Google reaches a blog you link to, or when it reaches a blog that is linking back to your new pages.

For example, I write a blog about books. This blog is a review of all the books I read and I wanted it to be on Google. I do not want to make money with that blog, just to have a big audience. Google did not index it for three weeks, and after a few tweaks, Google came to index my blog the next day.

What did I do?

I linked to about 20 similar blogs, all blogs about Books. When you link to a blog, Google can see it, especially if the blog is written using Blogger. Google saw my blog as more valuable since I had links to other blogs, giving people more information to digest.

The second technique is to link your new posts to blogs already indexed by Google. For example, in your post you may place a link in the middle to a good blog. When Google goes to that blog where you linked to, Google will see your page is linking so Google follows the link and indexes your page as well.

Do not expect Google to come to your pages just because you have good content. Google cares more about links than it does about good content. The same post will have completely different ranks if it is posted on Blogger or eHow or Wikipedia.

Remember that in order to continue to rank high on Google you need more and more links.
