Google Retires Advertising Professionals Program

Google Ends Advertising Professionals Program October 31, 2010

Google has announced that they are ending their Google Advertising Professionals program on October 31, 2010.

Google advises that anyone having Google Advertising Professionals status will no longer hold certification come November 1, 2010. At this time anyone using any of the AdWords Qualified Individual or Company logos must discontinue their use and remove all references to the retired program. Beginning November 1, 2010, only Google AdWords Certified Companies will be allowed to show up in Google Partner Search.

Anyone wishing to keep their qualification current must get certified by passing Googles new updated examination. They must meet the new program requirements of the new Google AdWords Certification Program and take and pass the exam before the October 31, 2010 deadline. This new internationally recognized program will highlight specialized as well as practical knowledge by way of advanced examinations testing on search, display, reporting & analysis. Every month there are thousands of people searching the Google Partner Search looking for Google AdWords Certified Companies to help with their AdWords marketing. Details on these changes can be found in the Google AdWords Learning Center.
