Life Insurance Corporation recruits AAOs in the Basic pay of Rs. 17240 /- per month in the scale of "17240- 840(14) –29000– 910(4) –32640" that is under consideration for the pay revision. Post also carries other admissible allowances as per rules. On posting in a city which is classified as "A" class city, an AAO will receive approximately Rs. 40,245/- per month as total emoluments at the minimum of the scale inclusive of admissible allowances such as House Rent Allowance & City Compensatory Allowance.
Benefits such as Contributory Pension, Gratuity, LTC, Medical Benefit, Group Savings Linked Insurance (GSLI), Group Personal Accident Insurance, Group Insurance , Vehicle Loan (2-wheeler/4 wheeler) are admissible as per existing rules of the Corporation. After selection, candidates get a regular job and asked to serve anywhere in the country. Candidates have to clear one year probation period that may be extended to two year depending on the performance during the probation. Selecting candidates have to agree to serve the corporation for a minimum duration of 4 years including one or two year's probation period. A bond of Rs two lakh has to be furnished by the selected candidates as an guarantee.
Corporation has advertised recently for the recruitment of 700 posts of AAO. Details may be seen in the notification advertised in the employment news and also available on LIC's website. Candidates have to apply online before January 5, 2015. Online examination will be taken in March on 5th, 6th or 13th Mach 2016. An objective type test of 2 hour duration involving 160 questions of 300 marks will be conducted online. It will have questions testing candidates ability for numeric and reasoning, general awareness, knowledge of computers and current affairs and English language will be tested through this online test. Wrong answers will have negative marking and penalty for each wrong answer will be equal to 1/4th of mark assigned to the particular answer. Minimum qualifying marks and minimum aggregate marks will be determined by the commission after the examination. Qualifying candidates will be shortlisted for personal interview depending on the number of vacancies. Candidates have to secure minimum passing marks in the interview also.
