Oh My Life! Remember, Love, Faith: A poem
Almost six decades now that we are together;
What have you done to me?
What have I done to you?
What have we done to each other?
Three magic words I learn from you;
Remember; Love; and Faith;
In every stage of our company in this jungle of the living;
These three magic words keep me safe and moving;
When things go wrong, I Remember the happy days with you;
When nothing else could help, I remember to Love you;
When the day is dark and dreary and tomorrow seems bleak, I let Faith guide me and brighten my day and the days ahead of me;
In this lifelong journey I had seen good and bad days;
Met good and bad people and situations;
But the three magic words are my trusted railings as I move higher upward the stairway to my destiny;
Life! I trust in you through the bad and good days;
For I know that you are supportive and reliable;
I value you in every area of this journey;
I count my blessings and discard the useless things along the way;
In this classroom of the living, you are my trusted teacher;
You teach me love, patience, humility, meekness and all the virtues that make all my days colorful and meaningful;
Oh Life! I should know that Life supports itself.
