TATA indicom the worst Internet provider in Cochin

No action taken since the installation date of the TATA broadband

Hello All,

Those who are corporate offices and planing to take internet connection from TATA should read this. I have taken a 5Mbps broadband connection from TATA indicom ( VSNL) . They i nstalled it on 29th September. At the installation day the speed was getting around 500 kbps only and the engineer told me that it would take some time to get the actual speed. Since it was not getting proper speed, I contacted customer service and local support and unfortunately till today they could not do any thing.

Hello,

We purchased a broadband connection from you last week . The connections speed is 5mbps. But we never got the speed it never goes more than 2 mbps. At the installation day your technician told me that it would take some days to get the correct speed . It is almost 10 days now ans we cannot do anything with this connection. We had already many VSNL connections and we disconnected one by one because of your unreliable support. Of course it it is for home purpose it may be good as the down time is not affected by home users much. As a corporate customers like us , it is very loss of we go for TATA. We were trying to back to TATA as Mr. Jeesan told that your support is better now and the down time is less. But you have again proved that you cannot provide good service to a company.

If you cannot provide the quoted Speed, cancel our account refund our money.

Regret all the inconvenience caused due to frequent outage. Since yours is a mission critical connection, we suggest you migrate to leased line 1:1 option with 99.9% uptime.

The prices will be slightly higher compared to BB, but instead of your connection which gives 1:4 uploads and up to 5 mbps connection, even a 1 Mbps 1:1 will suffice your requirement.

Hi Anoop,

We got speed up to 3.24 Mbps one day and yesterday the connection was down since the KSEB powe failure. We don't have time to call the customer care everyday to complain like this. This problem was there since last years. And when we contacted you local support they said that your UPS has no backup. There are several reason why TATA is not reliable to Corporate offices. We cannot assign a person to manage the TATA connection every day. When Mr. Jeesan told us that you have improved the quality of service , we believed him . I know that you are supporting us, but as a corporate customer, if a small down time , for example 1 hour, will ultimately equal to 1 Hr X 50 Human resources = 50 Hours ( Approximately 60K INR loss ). Just imagine If i had disconnected the Airtel line after the TATA connection purchased.

Will assign someone to fix up your problem today itself. The problems that you face right now is due to the hick ups at the local server, which can typically happen in a retail broadband scenario. We suggest you switch over to a leased line You will incur only an additional monthly cost.

For example, if you opt for a 1: 1 leased line of 1 Mbps , the monthly rent is just 10000 Rs.

    FYI - Today's download speed is 1.5 Mbps


Thank you for the leased line offer , but we are not planing to go for a leased line now. In our other branches we are using TATA as a backup connection only , in fact we thought to make it primary in this new office. But that is not possible as of now. It is very bad to hear that you have not yet fixed the UPS issue. Also we will go with this connection only if the speed is stable and it is not affected by the power failure

I did not want to publish a blog like this.

But the F**king support from TATA Indicom forced me to do like this. Before taking the connection I had asked them whether their service is improved or not and he promised that they have changed their process and have good support now. I wonder this is the good support !!

Now got a call from customer care- a lady-. She asked what is the reason for cancellation.. hmmm I asked her to see service history and give her one more day. Every time I call Tata customer service, they are saying the same .. at last she again asked what is the reason for cancellation. I tried to address her "Dear madam".... then she said some hellos.. and disconnected the line.

TATA internet services are the worst I have ever seen. It is further worsened becaues of very very bad customer support. At my home no connection for last 13 days and no solution could be done as of now. Every month I am facing this problem, i.e. no net connection. However, they are very prompt in deducting the plan charges..
