How To Market Your Company And Brand

If you are just beginning in the business sector or your in the first stages of your product design, there are a few notes you need to take down from this article. I want you to think about that golden arch design on the right. I am quite sure, no matter where you are in the world, you know what company it is from. It is McDonalds. That design is known all around the world. You know what that brand stands for and you know what it is all about. That is the power of a brand. A brand is a design that represents your company or product. It can be used for advertising and marketing strategies. A brand can make your business successful or it can ruin it. That is how powerful and important a brand for your company is. You have to have a design that relates to your product. There are many things you need to consider before accepting a brand or attempting to create one. I am going to share a few ideas with you that you may want to consider when you are creating your companies design or a brand for your products. If you can create a brand that catches to the public, it can globalize your brand. If you already have a brand and your company or product is not doing well, consider what I am saying to you. You may want to read this and learn what changes you can make to increase your profit and marketing. A great brand will bring your more income, customers, and attention.

In todays market, anyone can market to the entire globe. You don't have to be affiliated with a global company anymore. You don't have to personally know CEO's and Presidents. You don't have to own a business or run a business anymore to market your company or product. If you have access to the Internet, you can reach the entire room from where you are sitting right now. The potential is limitless. You can create a blog for free and link it with your business or products with little effort. You could also buy a web page for your business or product as well. You can create a few different blogs at different sites such as Blogspot or WordPress, then you can link them together to increase your traffic. Once you build those two blogs up, you can join another site and link all three. Most of these sites are free to join, therefore, your marketing is free. If you decide to buy a webpage, there will be a monthly charge, but it is usually just a few dollars. None the less, you are marketing your company or product to the world. Yes, the world. Even so, you still need a brand that will catch customer's eyes. We will go over this in detail very soon, but marketing your brand is just as important as deciding on a company design or product. If you don't have people looking at your brand, it won't matter anyway.

There is nothing easy about marketing your brand, but it has been done and it can be done. Once your decided about your brand or product, you need to create a blog for it. Blogspot and WordPress are two good sites that are free to join. Once you create your account, you can get starter on it. For example, if you are branding a restaurant, you will want to create pages on your blog that are associated with your restaurant, such as menu items and store hours. If you can order online at your restaurant, you can write about that on your page. You want to only write associated content dealing with your restaurant. Remember, this is only an example. If you sold dairy products, you would be writing about that on your site. So, you should have the point by now. Once you write a few pages, you can join another site and advertise your restaurant on it also. Now, you should have two sites that have associated content of your restaurant. Now, you can link the two sites together. A link will allow customers to see both sites in a single click. You may want to create four or five. The more you create, the more views you probably will get. Even if it is a local mom and pops diner, you still need to market it. You never know who is going to visit the page.

If you have products that the world can buy, this is perfect for you. You need to create as many as you can and link them all together. This doesn't cost you anything and you are marketing your company or product to the entire world. You can also use Ebay to sell your products if you haven't figured that out yet. Ebay is a great site to sell your items on. Even so, you still want to market to the world because this increases your chances of having potential customers. Just by doing this opens a lot of doors that you may not have had open before. If your product is good enough, you can go global sitting in your living room. I am not saying that your products will. Some of you may never get off the ground. It happens. But, I can tell you that it will increase your odds. Billions of people use the Internet. Yes, that is right, billions! That is a lot of potential customers to have. You may have been thinking about this for awhile now or you may be thinking about starting your own business. All the necessary tools are right in front of you at this very moment. In the end, what do you loose by doing this? As far as marketing goes, by doing what I have said, all you lose at the most is your time. It sounds like a great deal for me. It is worth the time you will put in.

Another thing is you never know who is going to pop up on your page. Think about it. Someone may get online and see your product and think it is the best idea since the telephone. It can happen. It does happen. Even if you just have an idea, put it online. Copyright the blueprints just in case and put your idea out there to be seen. This goes for anyone. The Internet is the future and it is how business will be conducted in the future. It already is at this moment. If you are a singer, put your music out there. You can use Youtube to broadcast yourself. Many famous people have been found online or by online content. If your on a free site, you don't lose a penny. It is well worth the time that will be put in. Anybody, anywhere, can reach the world now. That is amazing. Don't hesitate another minute, get started right now.

DESIGN YOUR BRAND AND YOUR MOTTO

Once you have your marketing foundation laid out, the brand and motto is your next step. Almost every globalized company or product has a design and motto in association with their company or product. Like i mentioned before, the brand is the design that represents your company or product. The motto does the same, plus relates to the public.

You need to base your brand on what your company represents, what it sells, or what is associated to it. While deciding on your design, you might want to add a motto. For example, look at the Nike Company. Their brand is the check mark. Most of the world knows what it means. Everybody that wears it is advertising their brand without knowing it, most of everybody. They get free advertisement by this. Of course, it is globally known and a popular brand, but it didn't start that way. You have more advantages now then the Nike Company did when it was first beginning to develop. It shows the potential you have and the potential to go far with your company or product. Nike also has a motto that is related to their product, "just do it". Even though their motto doesn't relate directly to their products, their advertisement does. Your content on blogs or your web page is your advertisement. Of course, you can use calendars, commercials, and other things. I am only using this as an example to show you how everything relates back to one single cause.

Here are a few examples when thinking about a design or brand for your company.

  1. LOCATION- You might want to consider your location as a design for your brand. For example, snow is associated with Alaska. In their design, they may have snow cap mountains in the background. The grizzly bear is also related to Alaska. It could also be used by a company based in Alaska. Think about where you are located in the world and see what could be associated with your location.
  2. WEATHER- You may live somewhere where the sun shines most of the time. You may want to use that as a design. You could be somewhere that is prone to hurricanes. For example, look at the college football team, the Miami Hurricanes. It is just an example. Think about your companies location as it may give you an idea of a brand or design.
  3. SPORTS- Your company may be directed toward sports. For example, you may have a sports bar and grill. You may use footballs or baseballs in your design. It could also be a picture of a stadium or hockey stick. In this example, you could use a few different sport items in one singular design as a brand for your company or products.
  4. HISTORY- You may live in an area that has a history. It could be anything that is historical. For example, you may live on land that is historical because a battle was fought there in the Civil War Era. You may want to have a union soldier in your design to present the historical moment in your company. It could be a rifle. It is just an example. Maybe you live in an area where knights roamed. A knight could be used in a brand,
  5. ENVIRONMENT- It may fall into the category of weather, but I am using the outside environment as a resource. Maybe you live in the jungle or a forest. You could use that in a design. Perhaps, maybe you live in an area where palm trees are. You could use that design in your brand or product. As stated before, these are just examples to get your mind thinking. These are just a few to get you thinking.

When you decide your motto, it should be something that relates to your company or product. If not, it makes no sense to have it. For example, let's say your company offers tours to the Bermuda Triangle. You can use a triangle in your design to represent the Bermuda Triangle. Now that you have your design, we will say the company name is Bermuda Tours. This is just an example. Now that you have this, we need to think of a motto. We will call it "discover the unknown". Now, we have everything. You will have to picture the design. You should be able to see how everything relates to each other. That is the purpose of this example. If we called it Bermuda Tours, "surviving the snow", it wouldn't make sense.

For those that don't know about the Bermuda Triangle, it is a location on the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Florida, USA. Three points in the ocean form a triangular looking perimeter where people, boats, and planes have simply disappeared. Many people have vanished while riding or flying over the area. There has even been reports of UFO's. Nobody is sure why this happens. It has been known for many years. For these reasons, I came up with the motto, "discover the unknown". Hopefully you now understand how it all relates.

The market is as big as you can create it. I never said this would be easy, not once. There is a lot of work that goes into creating blogs and writing. The main focus that I want you to leave here with is how everything relates to one another. Another focus is using the internet for marketing. You can either do it for free or you can purchase your own page. You are currently laying the foundation of your company or product. The foundation is the most important so you want to do it right. Think outside the box when you are creating your design. You want something unique and something that catches. Your company or product depends on it to have maximum potential.
