Carlos Slim Helu is 2010 world's No. 1 Billionaire

According to Forbes' list, this year the world has a new richest man in the person of Mexican tycoon CARLOS SLIM HELU. He has beaten out Americans BILL GATES and WARREN BUFFETT to bag this year’s No. 1 World Billionaire.

Billionaires No. 4 and 5 are both Hindi

From India MUKESH AMBANI last year world’s No. 7 billionaire now occupies berth No. 4, last year’s No. 8 richest man, also from India but with residence in UK LAKSHMI MITTAL got rung No. 5 on the ladder; American LAWRENCE J. ELLISON No 4 billionaire last year slid down to Post No. 6 this year; a French BERNARD ARNAULT and Brazilian EIKE BATISTA who occupy Post Nos. 7 and 8 billionaires, respectively, are newcomers; a Spaniard AMANCIO ORTEGA, 2009 No. 10 world’s billionaire, stepped up to this year’s No. 9 richest man and a German KARL ALBRECHT who was recognized as the world’s No.6 billionaire last year, slid down four rungs to occupy No. 10 Post.

Kamprad is ranked No. 11, while Theo Albrecht plummeted to No. 31

2009 No. 5 billionaire Swedes INGVAR KAMPRAD slid down 6 rungs to occupy this year’s 11th slot whereas German THEO ALBRECHT who was last year’s No. 9 world’s richest man plummeted down to this year’s No. 31 billionaire.
