What Will Unions and The Left Do Next?

What Labor Unions Are Doing

Currently Unions are about 12% of the private work force and about 33% of the government work force. In order to appear stronger than they are, as far as representing the average American worker, they must present the illusion of representing all workers. This is done by using the media. I have seen relatively small groups of protesters appear to be hundreds of people when in fact there were less than 50. The media will take pictures or video from angles and in a narrow frame in order to make crowds appear larger. Unions have hired and paid, students, homeless and others to protest for them and provide transportation and signs for them to hold. In some case individuals in these protests also will make up heart wrenching stories to gain public support. I dare say that at this point, the unions are still losing the battle. Since their belief is that they can use any means to reach their goals, we are now beginning to see the intimidation phase. A few agitators will be injected into groups, at first they will merelyuse rhetoric to incite crowds and then the violence will begin. At first we may hear reports of assaults on counter demonstrators and some news outlets/reporters. If this fails they will then begin to use mass crowd violence. This actually has a two fold effect, first they will try and frame themselves as the victims of police violence and secondly will drain millions of dollars from government budgets further placing local, state and federal budgets into the red. The bottom line is until they ( the unions) maintain and increase their power and influence over the government (the people) they will continue to create anarchy.

How Far Will Unions Go?

First, not all Union members will reach this final stage, but a small minority will. Based on the hard core Union members/anarchists goals and willingness to commit violent acts as a tool to reach their goals. I believe that the Bill Ayers in these movements will begin using terrorist tools to attempt to reach their goals. They will begin using explosive devices, and chemical attacks to creat fear and panic which will allow the governmemt to restict individual rights. Why the government, the unions believe that their goal is the same as the current administrations, a move towards Socialism which will eventually lead to communism.

We as Americans have always relied upon our individualism, that the individual is responsible for his actions and their reprecussions. Others are free to do as they wish as long as it does not impact others, the individuals morals were based on Faith, Family and Country.

Today it would appear that a minority of Americans, do not want to take responsibility for themselves, or for the reprecussions of their actions. Instead, they believe that the individual is powerless and that their place in life is not of their own making but the fault of others. They feel that the Government has a duty or obligation to see to it that everyone has equal STUFF, regardless of the individuals efforts, just because they are alive.

What is the End Result?

I have great faith in the American people. Our history has shown, that when Americans feel their Faith, and family are in danger, they stand up for their country, to reclaim and reaffirm that The United States of America is the last bastion of freedom in the world. We tend to look at the great leaders and elevate them to the position of saving this great land. While in fact, from Valley forge to Afghanistan, it is the every day American that has left their homes, their friends and families, and placed their homes, fortunes, sacred honor, and lives on the alter of freedom. It is the individual American that gave the founding Fathers the opportunity to construct the documents that founded this country. That gave George Washington an army to defeat the British, that gave the world victory in WWI, WWII and the Korean Conflict. During great depressions and economic down turns Americans have always come back. Stood up, saw what needed to be done and did it at a great individual price.

We as a country have made mistakes and missteps, but we have learned from them and have become stronger because of them. However, it is my firm belief that the average American will again stand up, realizing that we have spent ourselves into a hole. That great sacrafice will be needed by every American, not just a few, to get our financial house in order, to restore our liberties and freedoms, to once again become that shinning city that President Regan saw so clearly and loved so much.

In my view, what will the end result be? Everyday Americans will STAND-UP, will make GREAT SACRAFICES, and the UNITED STATES of AMERICA will once again become the beacon of light to the world, That magically City of LIGHT upon the hill-top, that all peoples of the world will look upon, and dream of the day that they can reside in that CITY.

The Taft- Hartley law prior to 1972 prohibited unions from contributing to candidates in federal elections. The unions today are one of the biggest lobbyist that put Obama and other politicians in office.

Jon, thanks for your comment. It's easy to neogiate when money is given under the table to the party your neogiating with and then they give you back some money on top the table from other peoples pockets.

From experience allow me to tell you that the union and the union bosses are not what they were 20 years ago. The unions don't care about their members and the employers who they negotiate with. In the public sector, the unions control both sides of the issues AND THEY will do anything not to lose the power.Unfortionately today, they own the Whitehouse and much of Congress.

Me too. Americans are good people. Let's hope we are good and strong enough to keep this great nation free from a complete takeover by the enemy within.

AnnCee, thank you for your comment. Its funny, I remember when i was about 9 or 10 years old my parents took us to a local main street parade. My Father never served in the armed forces, but he would tell us that the flag represented all those that had been wounded and those that had died in battle to give us the rights and freedoms that we enjoyed and that as an American it was our duty and obligation to serve our 6 years in the service of our country. After that day and still to this day, when ever I see a parade with the flag of the United States of American being carried by an honor guard, I get all choked up and remember all that has been given and will be given in the defense of this country.

I think this is a dangerous time for our country, but also a unique opportunity. Never has the power and nature of the connection between the public workers unions and the Democrat party been so clear to see. This is an opportunity for Americans to fight back against an enemy that has so far been insidious. Now we can see them, and that is a good thing.

Good HUB!
