Humor (But Oh, so true!): Where The Time Went
Tempus forgets?
God must have sped up the clocks!
Seems I must have gone to sleep at midnight.
Then this morning the neighbor's dog didn't bark incessantly as he is supposed to do. So now I'm waking up late! Already behind, and this is a busy day; lots to do.
No time for breakfast.
Just hustle as fast as I can.
Oops! Forgot my latest gizmo for keeping on track, so now I'm on my own for the day. Darn!
What was that saying anyway? Something about mathematicians and theorems induced by coffee. Let's get practical here, or nothing but nothing will get done.
Five calls made and five new problems. They don't pay me enough for all of this.
Wow! Time for lunch already. Great, I'm famished. Must have skipped breakfast again, and nobody brought in doughnuts. (Must be my turn soon, maybe it was today!)
Great lunch, but one problem: now I'm sleepy. Guess those extra blame-the-dog winks didn't do much for being full in the afternoon.
Meeting time, and I need toothpicks for my eyelids! Can't have the boss think I'm disinterested...even if I am.
Notes on the pad are mysteriously drifting off, too! Watch it, they'll probably call on me next.
Their photos are a good reminder of why I'm here.
Four calls to return, and make a note about the doughnuts. Don't forget the note.
Winding down, but that clock moves so slow, you'd think it was tired too.
What was that I needed at the store? If only I had my gizmo. I'll just wander around and maybe it'll come to me.
$46.83! Good stuff, but I really didn't need it all. I'll probably remember what it was on the way home, or just as I pull in to park.
Wasn't the supper I could have had, if I'd remembered the lettuce and the ketchup. Not bad though, if I do say so myself.
Full again, and sleepy again. Must be something good on TV, but probably not. Got to get cable sometime so I don't keep wasting my time with this stuff.
Now I don't even know who won! Must have been more tired than I thought.
There must be something I was supposed to do. Keeps nagging at me.
Well, tomorrow is another day.
Where'd the time go?
Doing my own shopping:
Did you ever....
Have you ever exercised (a flight or two of stairs, etc.) to ward off drowsiness?
A Haiku - Time
- A Haiku - Time
Brother, you can spare your time?
and another....
- A Haiku - One Thing At A Time
Oh, to be focused when there are so many things to be done! This Haiku talks of doing three and finishing a fourth which lacked the priority of the others.
