    This is return on investment.  Say you spend thousand dollars on advertising, the return to be profitable will have to be the thousand spent plus to make a profit.

    I would define The Return on Investment as the percentage of profit you will have based on your investment.
    An indicator to know if your business is good, and if you reach 100% it means you get your investment back in one year, if it is 10%, you can expect to wait 10 years to get your investment paid.

    ROI stands for Return on Investment and can be applied to various things. An employer may consider their ROI on a particular employee. For instance, say that employer is paying for a particular employee to take IT courses so he/she can solve IT issues whenever they arise at work. The employer is hoping his ROI is greater than his initial investment, which was the cost of the courses.

    The acronym ROI means return on investment. it;s simply the outcome in terms of profit you make (tangible or intangible) for all the efforts (inputs) in terms of resources you piut into your business to get achieve your bottom-line.
