Is it adviseable to make your business facebook page your regular facebook page?
When working on my business page meant to promote my children's ebook, the following question was at the bottom of the editing page: "Do you want to make this your FB page?" I noticed that the artist who illustrated my ebook has a FB page that seems to be her business page as well and it's quite lovely. I think it would give family and friends a better idea of my work, but I'm just wondering if there is a downside to this?
I would keep the two separate. There are personal things and there are business things that sometimes don't mix. You business FB page should be just that...Business. That being said, you can still post similar content to both your personal anf business page when it is appropriate. You don't want clients, or potential clients, to have to sift through your personal postings, friend's postings and your favorite 3rd party updates to get to the content that they want to find.
aah! the sifting - good thought. You're right, I can still make my FB personal page look like my Bus Page with those pictures on my timeline if I wanted. Now I'm trying to find a good name. Don't think I have to use company's name
Glad I could help...thanks for the "Best Answer"...
I have always kept my Facebook business accounts separate from my personal Facebook account. I really don't think my friends from high school want to see my business opportunities.
No, separate.
A personal page is about you as an individual.
You can have one about you as an author
THEN a separate one about that book in particular.
You can cross-ref but mixing them altogether would make them look cluttered.
I have pretty much the same opinion as everyone else. Keep them separate. There will be times where you want your family and friends to know information about you and your life that you do not want your business associates to know or the people that like the book to know.
I have had multiple social media clients pay me to separate them and get all their business contacts out of their personal account and onto their Facebook page. Just start it off separate and it will save you a lot of time in the end.
Keep them separate is what I would suggest. You do not want divulging personal and private information about yourself to anyone. That way you can keep everything public about your business public and everything private about you, private.

If you have noticed your traffic decreasing lately on some of your hubs, this Facebook page is copying content from several hubbers and publishing it on their FB page. The Facebook page is called OHealth atwww .facebook .com /pages ...

I just checked my traffic and have 1030 views from Facebook in the last 7 days. I always share my new hubs there and I think you will agree from my latest traffic figures that it has been well worthwhile doing this!
