How to deal with bullies at work?

At work, if you're new and still trying to learn your job, you'll discover different kinds of treatment from your colleagues.  There are those who will help you make your job easier, but there are those who will make it harder for you.  Most of the time, I just ignore bullies and their unfriendly remarks.  I just do my job and focus on it instead of minding them.

Kill them with kindness! Go out of your way to do something for them. Love is greater than any form of hate! Pride will tell you to get even... Tell pride to go shut the front door!

You can ignore it certainly.  But the next time someone snipes at you with an unkind or rude remark, take note, then go and see them privately.  Sit down with them and tell them you don't appreciate the remark and ask them what their problem is.

It might not work but often bullies gain power in groups and get braver and ruder.  Once alone, you might be able to get to the bottom of it and make it stop.

That's a good one.  You're right that bullies are braver and ruder when in groups.

I think everyone deals with co-working bullies at some point.  I do ignore and like you, just do my job and go home.  But there is a line that's crossed if it interferes with my work.  If that happens, then I confront them and kindly explain how this is work and not high school and how I don't deal well with immaturity at work.  That should do it.  It's how you say it, not what you say.

Sometimes ignoring it can make it worse. Bullies are only effective against those who are unprepared for them.
