It depends on your reason for asking. If you are an employer, you can conduct reference checks to determine where an applicant works. However, the person you speak with may not be willing to confirm more than the person's dates of employment. If you are in a position to pull a credit report (if you are a landlord, for example), the report will also list any employers reported for that person. The issue is that credit reports may contain old or inaccurate information, so you may not be able to find out the person's current employer. A background check is another option. You can also try searching databases (such as your state's probation database, if you have one) to see if you can find the information.
I would probably ask them and let them know why that mattered to me. If they wouldn't tell me I would consider it none of my business.

One of my articles randomly went nuts on Facebook last night, according to my traffic stats. I'm VERY curious, where the root of this is coming from - is there a way for me to find out where on Facebook my article was linked or must it remain a mystery to me?

I have recently had a hub get a small boost in traffic for a few days, but I am unable to figure out where the traffic is coming from...the stats on the hub don't show any obvious increase, but there is the note that not all views have a discernable source. Just wondering if someone could let...
