   No i haven't earned up to that yet, but i have high hopes of reaching there one day as long as there is still Amazon.

   Definitely not. And to add to that, I don't know of anyone making even close to that amount using Amazon. I found it so useless, I don't even use Amazon ads anymore.

   I don't. I think i have earned about $10 over the last two years combined. That said, I do believe it is possible if you write hubs that cater to this type of activity. By this i mean if you write product reviews and feature this product for sale in your hub, whether this product is your own or someone else's.

   Yes, but only six of my sales in the past year have come from Hubpages. Nearly all my Amazon Associates sales come from links I've embedded on Squidoo lenses. (I've also got Associate links on one blog, but they seldom convert either.)

      I'm surprised that nobody else has said yes so far. I still haven't really mastered Hubpages -- like I said, I only can do it on Squidoo. Big product images seem to help. People often buy something other than what I review, though.

   No.  Amazon is challenging to make money from, because their cookie lasts 24 hours - in other words, if your visitor doesn't buy immediately, you get no commission.
   
   Most other affiliate schemes have much longer cookies  - the visitor can come back up to 30 days later, and you'll still get paid.
   
   So to make money on Amazon, you have to be an excellent copy writer, so your reader is convinced to buy the product before they click the ad.

      perhaps this is the biggest hurdle in making money with Amazon. I get 30,000+ clicks every month on my Amazon links but get only few conversion

   Not only no, but "H ** " no!! 
   I have yet to make a single red cent--I don't think the program is worth the time I spend picking out appropriate products to match my articles!
   (And I've been an affiliate for  over a year...)
   There was, of course, that point at which we California affiliates got unceremoniously dumped for a while due to the whole tax thing... but, it's not that I "never recovered" from that, as there was no income anyway to recover from!
   Their payout threshold is WAY too high (as is Google Ad Sense alone), and I don't expect to live long enough to see that point.

      @ Mash 99 -- I don't write sales hubs--I write hubs on assorted topics, and choose related products to feature.  I.e., compasses on my hub on how to use one.  I don't have time or energy to pursue other venues.

   I don't know but I've only made a few dollars on health books. I think you need a product hub where you talk up the items and say you love them and have lots of words for each product. WryLilt does a lot of them. Real salesmanship.

    I've made about $140.00 this month on Amazon.  Last month was only $6.00 the month before that was $24.00.  I joined HubPages July 26 of this year.  I'm very happy with my amazon earnings.
