Do you think that people should be off work on Fridays?

If you could decide - would you implement a four day working week? Would it reduce stress and increase productivity or perhaps the opposite?

Efficient Admin, thanks for your reponse! I agree re the workload aspect - perhaps if a four day week was too hectic then the 5th day could be a 'work from home day' but again like you said, this would depend on the industry.

Hi Zsuzsi - you're right about the workload - I didn't even consider that. Five days work in four days time would be more stressful but perhaps this would be reduced..I would much prefer a 4 day week:)

Charles, thank you for your response- I really like the idea of flexible hours and like you mentioned, every day will have some 'downtime'. I also think that flexible hours and a shorter week would significantly improve work/life balance/productivity

alwaysamber, I think you definitely have a point there - it is hard to have time to get everything done on the weekend. I think people would feel more refreshed on Monday if Friday was part of the weekend.
