What is the best way to sell a domain name?

I have a couple of domains I have been holding on to for a few years now that I simply haven't had time to develop. I listed on sedo yesterday, but I've never sold a domain before.  If any of you are familiar with it or have done it can you tell me the best way to do this?

I never have liked sedo because in the beginning they were extremely hard to get hold of and every domain name purchased (they were connected with 1 & 1, I think)  seemed to be under a different "contract". I had things parked there and never figured it out, didn't have control, and on and on. However, I will say that I got a GREAT appraisal of the worth of a domain name I had (highlightertape.com).  It was valued at $3000 because it was the name of the product itself, so having that assessment in writing really helped to sell it.  The assessment cost me $60 at the time, but was well worth it.
I recently purchased the auction package at godaddy.com for something like $35 a year! in order to get ready to sell my old domain name windmillworks.com   We have lots of interactive games at windmillworks.com/theawesomegamepage/ transferring all that is taking me a long time. (Hint, never  name a company for romantic reasons instead of what the company does - unless you're google or yahoo).  We never made windmills, but software!  ANYWAY, Christin, take a look at godaddy.  I haven't tried it yet, but I just don't like 1&1 which connected to sedo for parking, etc., never understood the interface.  OH, and what I DO like at godaddy is the customer service.  You can call 24 a day, 7 days a week for the website and get really helpful customer service.  EXCELLENT.  I don't know if their auction section is open that long, but take a look over there. Here's hoping your domain names have proven to be very lucrative!  Whoo hoo!

Thanks! I'd considered trying their auction services, but I know previously I had hosting with them and they sucked of course this was years ago, but I was still leary of it. I am not understanding SEDO fully myself though so may switch.
