Do you think leaving your day job will make you happy?
There are times in our life that we feel quitting our 9-5 day job. Mean reason is things are not getting better. Bills are filling up and life seems so unfair. Now there is this business opportunity comes. Do think it is a wise decision to quit job? We need your opinion guys. Thanks
I have been on the fence for a few months about quitting a job that I have been very unhappy, I even asked about being moved to another department because I felt that I wasn't progressing and felt stagnate. It barely covered my bills and I had to work overtime just to meet my financial obligations. Well, instead of them finding another place in the company they terminated me last week. However, I am not sad at all and using this opportunity to find my passion and not get stuck in another dead-end job. One thing for me is that I have very little debt, rent, car, electric and cell. So, if you are serious about your desire to quit your full time job I suggest you look at your expenditures and see where you can cut back and figure out how much you need to earn each month to meet your financial obligations. Do you have to make an investment to utilize this business opportunity? If so, I would be a little concerned as there are no guarantees and advise you to research it more before diving in. Is this something you can do while you are also working full time and then you can "try it out" before making a commitment. Just a few things to think about.
I'm 35 years old and after getting out of the military in 2009, I found myself deep inside the financial sector. I'm great at my job but it's not my passion. I learned that lesson when I quit my well off "9-5" and wrote my first book. I knew it would be a huge adjustment but if I never took the leap, it wouldn't have happened. The money was tight, I had to shuffle things around but I was truly happy; I was content with my new life. I spent 9 months away before I decided to return back to finances, but it in no way holds me hostage as before. I Recommend following your passion and don't look back with regret. After all, your life is yours and you should be happy while living it.
Well, my day job is a night job. I will be happy to leave as soon as my retirement date rolls around. In 2 years, 8 months and 14 days, I'm out of here!
This is a most difficult question to answer; however, would it not depend on how satisfied you are with your present occupation and how simplified you have made your existence? If you have managed to simplify your life somewhat your needs will be reduced and that combined with enjoying your occupation will serve you and your loved ones well. Having stated that I must admit that it easier to say then accomplish.
It depends on a person to person. If you have a good business opportunity and you are quite sure that you will succeed then quit the job.!!!
I know, there is no assurance of success in any job so make sure before you quit your 9-5 job, you have a viable back plan ready for yourself in case you fall
