   What is your opinion on incorporating a translator on your site, relating to the advantages and disadvantages?

   I think that adding the translator on the blog is a great service. That way, someone who speaks a different language can quickly and easily know what you are saying. I have a translator on my blog.
   
   I don't know how they would know but hope that they can tell that it is a translator.

      I was wondering what use a translator would be, when only an English speaking audience is targeted. In fact I was looking for an excuse to remove the translator from my sites! Anyways many thanks for your views!

   I think it depends on the subject of the website or blog. If someone was interested in the topic, most people know it is available and can access it themselves.
   Another thing to consider is does it make your page look cluttered, or potentially load more slowly.

   No disadvantage at all, except that Google Translate regularly gives a meaning that is the exact opposite of what is written. For example, original says "XXX does not happen", Google translates as "XXX does happen".
   
   You might not be aware that there is a feature for rating a suggested translation as correct or incorrect. I know that many people take pleasure in sabotaging Google by rating the worst suggested translation as being the best.
   
   If you'd like to see the horrors that can be achieved with Google Translate, I suggest you go to Youtube and search for videos by Malinda Kathleen Reese. Her performances of the abominations produced by Google when asked to translate songs are absolutely hilarious.
   
   The bottom line is that if you care about the reputation of your site, you will use the services of a professional translator for the language you wish to feature or just leave it in your own language.

      Yeah, by knowing more than one language you can help yourself to some great entertainment via an online translator!!! I recall having read somewhere that it enhances the SEO element of a website! Thanks a lot for your opinion!
