   Where do you find good virtual assistants?
   
   I'm looking to try out a virtual assistant that will manage my calendar, do a little spreadsheet work, and help our office manager a bit.  Anyone have suggestion or recommendations on where to find a good virtual assistant?

   I've found oDesk is decent for those odd jobs, however if you are looking for something a lot more professional, Brickwork India is brilliant.

   You may want to start out with the IVAA International virtual assistant association because they are a non-profit organization dedicated to the professional education and development of members of the Virtual Assistance profession, and to educating the public on the role and function of the Virtual Assistant.
   
   The best part is that IVAA provides continuing education, networking opportunities, member benefits and optional certification to its members, as well as provide a member directory  and Request for Proposal (RFP) system for parties interested in utilizing the services of member virtual assistants.
   
   I think its important to get someone who is certified and has verifiable references.

    Try ratracerebellion.com or staffcentrix.com Staffcentrix is a professional training company for virtual assistants. Rat Race Rebellion is another website that is associated with Staffcentrix and caters to those that want to work from home as virtual assistants and other independent occupations. Such as writers btw..

    I realize you posted this question 8 months ago but if you are ever looking for a "good" virtual assistant then I suggest you approach one of the VA forums.  Look for a professional who will give you excellent service - you may have to pay a bit more but it's worth checking out.  As a Virtual Assistant myself I recommend VANetworking here's a link that will tell you all about them. http://ht.ly/3aIFr Remember you get what you pay for.  Places like Elance are good but you don't always have control over what level of service you receive.
