Hello! I believe that my career in direct sales and marketing is a little different than possibly others. My daily task is to do direct marketing and sales for AT&T's new entertainment campaign. I truly believe the benefits of doing direct marketing it has taught me the ability to learn how to communicate with people properly. Not to mention you are able to see what techniques that advertising uses in order to impulse people into buying. (I think this is fascinating!!!) Which inevitably drives our market. In our economy people are always buying as long as they can get a great deal. I believe a sales job is the only business, although it fluctuates, that can never be lost in the market because people have a need to buy. Lastly as far as direct sales is concerned, I am able to see exactly what it is that customers need, and in which way the company can steer their advertising and pricing to suit the buyers need.
Like I said before, my company is a little different than any other "sales" office. I also work in Human Resources where I have the opportunity to train and develop entry level candidates and also do second invitational interviews. With these responsibilities I also have the opportunity to run my own marketing campaign, any campaign and in any city that I choose within the next year. Truthfully,I love my career because I know that I will be successful as long as I put the work needed into it. I couldn't imagine working a regular corporate America job and watch as people who get paid more than me only because they have been there longer than I have and I do twice the work. I work long hours and I work really hard but I know that at the end of it all I am going to directly benefit from it :)
